On 16 January 2026, at Casa dos Nichos in Ponte de Lima, the Municipality and the Gastronomic Confraternity awarded the first 14 TSG certification plaques to the restaurants authorised to serve Arroz de Sarrabulho à Moda de Ponte de Lima with the European seal.

The audit process was conducted by AGRICERT — Certificação de Produtos Alimentares, Lda., the body designated to verify compliance with the TSG product specification. Each establishment was assessed for its ingredients, cooking method and manner of serving.

The 14 pioneers

These are the 14 restaurants honoured at the ceremony. Each one upholds the authentic recipe, with Carolino rice (Portuguese short-grain), beloura (blood sausage), chouriça de verde (green sausage), tripa branca (white tripe sausage) and rojões (fried pork cubes) — the mandatory ingredients of the product specification.

Gastronomic Weekend
